The main problem is getting an appointment! The first available appointment is usually at least 7 days away, which is just ridicous.
Really depends on which gp you see whether you are involved in your treatment, Can think of only a couple who have impressed me.
Tests requested but follow up rarely organised or suggested for feedback.
Couple of locums have been very impressive in the provision of holistic care and patient involvement, unfortunately though they are not permanent fixtures at the surgery.
Relatively easy to make an appointment, either by phone or on-line, and if you want to see a specific doctor, it's all there. On-line appointment booking with the nurses however, is still not up and running. You need to know what you're looking for when getting on-line and the practice homepage could be more helpful in pointing out "where" to click.
On the whole I've always had a positive experience in my dealings with the surgery (Specifically High Green Health Centre).
Apparently our doctor has changed! We only spotted it on a repeat prescription of my husbands! Not a major issue but would have been nice to be told. When ringing for an appointment we go through reception (too many options that keep you hanging on for too long before getting through to an actual person) and then if we need an urgent appointment, we have to go through the Triage Nurse who very often attempts to diagnose over the phone (not always ideal). Even if we need an appointment that isn't urgent, it can be over a week before an appointment is available.
